recently I was a patient in the hospital I work in
things I learnt
Doctors dont listen to their patients
docotrs and nurses treat/speak to you differently when they know your a nurse
doctors dont always give you all test results (bit silly since I can log in and look myself!)
some nurses have really bad attitudes when it comes to looking after other nurses
Do your own dressings!
Remove your own stitches!
look after your own drains!
not all nurses know what there doing and dont like to be told how to do things
TV is free for staff
news travels fast even in a large hospital
doctors get nervous while cannulating a nurse
the food really is bad no wonder patients have no appetite
